Frequently asked
- How do I know if my pet needs emergency care?
Seek immediate care for severe breathing difficulties, excessive bleeding, sudden collapse, seizures, suspected poisoning, repeated vomiting, inability to urinate, or any sudden major change in behavior. When in doubt, call us.
- Can I bring my pet in without an appointment?
Yes — emergencies are prioritized. A quick call ahead lets us prepare for your arrival, but if it's immediately life-threatening, just come in.
- What should I do before coming in?
Stay calm, transport your pet safely, and contact us for first-aid guidance on the way. For suspected poisoning, call us or ASPCA Animal Poison Control at (888) 426-4435 before inducing vomiting — some substances cause more damage coming back up.
